Photo demonstration

Here we demonstrate how to refill LC37 cartridge using the picture of an LC57 since the refill instructions are identical

Theoriginal  LC37 cartridge is disposable, however it can be refilled many times.

Less than $1 to refill a cartridge.       use our Ink

This is the method to refill a genuine LC37 cartridge. The most suitable ink to refill this cartridge is our Brother 100cc dye ink bottle 4 color set from ink77.com.au (please click the product name in blue).

1. Before refilling your empty cartridge, prepare a pin, tape, screw driver, cutter and ink.

2. Cut the middle of the label area by a cutter.(ref. pic 1)

3. Open the cartridge using  a screwdriver.(ref. Pic 2)

You can easily open it with a screwdriver as it is glued only along the in the joins.

No need to take the cartridge out  from the cover.(ref Pic 2B)

4. You will need to make two holes in the top of the plastic film.

The first hole (Ref. Pic 3) is for inserting the ink and the second hole is to release the air.

You can first make a hole in the plastic film with a pin (although not necessary) to make it easier to insert the needle of the refill bottle (using caution to not pierce the other side of the plastic film).

Next, make an air hole on the left.(ref Pic. 4)

5. Refill ink in the first hole. (Ref. Pic 5) Making sure the cartridge is an upright position and the ink must be filled to no more than two third of the way. (ref. Pic. 6B).

As air will escape from a cartridge while refilling, make sure the hole is positioned higher than the filling hole.

6. Seal the two holes with ordinary scotch tape. (ref Pic. 6). Making sure the holes are properly covered.

Be sure to clean & dry the film on the cartridge before applying the tape. (ref Pic. 6B)

     Both holes are taped.
